Our Mission : CQB Partners was established with a clear mission: to give property buyers access to the same quality of analysis, strategy and execution that institutional investors take for granted.
Where We Come From : CQB was founded by Steven Carroll after a career in environments where the stakes are high, the analysis is deep, and the margin for error is zero. He served as an infantry team leader in the US Army, worked at Intel as a process engineer and then as a senior financial analyst, and managed assets at an agricultural investment manager with $1.2 billion under management, on acquisitions of up to $120 million. Those are fields where precision is not optional, and that background shapes everything we do. When we assess a property, we do not rely on gut instinct or market hype. We build financial models. We stress-test assumptions. We source independent data. We present our clients with a clear, evidence-based view of what a property will cost, return, and contribute to their wealth over time.
Operational Expertise : Steven is the Licensee in Charge and personally accountable for every engagement. CQB Partners holds corporate real estate licences in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Our team brings hands-on experience from the building trades and from investing in residential property themselves, so a building and pest report is read the way a tradesperson reads it, not the way a salesperson does. Every engagement meets the professional and regulatory standard the strategy behind it deserves.
Investment Discipline : We bring institutional investment experience across property, agriculture and fund management, and we apply the same frameworks and analytical discipline to our clients' purchases that were applied to portfolios worth hundreds of millions of dollars. When we recommend a strategy, it is grounded in evidence we would stake our own name on. And when the evidence says no, we say no.

Steven Carroll is a career analyst and strategist who has spent nearly two decades solving complex problems across engineering, defence, technology, and institutional investment management.
He founded CQB Partners to close a gap he saw between the sophisticated, data-driven approach that institutional investors use every day and the often surface-level advice available to everyday property buyers.
A former member of the US All-Army Biathlon Team who represented the United States at the World University Games, Steven brings the same discipline and precision to property acquisition that defined his competitive and professional career.
